Welcome to the Sudan Policy Forum (SPF)
The Sudan Policy Forum is an initiative dedicated to breaking the deadlock in Sudan’s path to peace, stability, and governance. In light of ongoing conflict and political polarization, we aim to create an inclusive platform for dialogue, involving experts, scholars, and activists committed to building a better Sudan.
About Us
Our Vision
The Sudan Policy Forum envisions a Sudan where governance emerges from a robust, inclusive process that amplifies the voices of marginalized communities. Our core mission is to foster unity, bridge regional and ethnic divides, and focus on the needs of Sudan’s youth, who make up approximately 70% of the population.
Our Approach
We advocate for a departure from narrow political or ideological agendas, promoting peace and democracy based on institutionalization and the active participation of Sudanese citizens, both at home and in the diaspora. Our discussions span critical areas such as transitional justice, federalism, rural development, and social welfare.

Our Strategy
At SPF, we believe that peace and sustainable governance in Sudan require broad, inclusive engagement. We organize seminars, training sessions, and policy discussions to engage citizens both within Sudan and in the diaspora. These platforms promote meaningful reflection on critical issues, including education, health, environmental sustainability, democratization, and regional integration.
Fostering Citizen-Led Policy Development
We recognize Sudan’s civil society as a powerful force for reform. SPF encourages citizen-led policy development to counter the negative impacts of past regimes and promote a system of governance that is accountable and inclusive.
Addressing Deep Divisions
SPF acknowledges the challenges posed by political factionalism and identity-based divisions in Sudan. We seek to transcend these divisions by promoting unity and cooperation between different social and political groups, aiming for a unified and inclusive system of governance that prioritizes development and transparency.
A Platform for Change
Through our strategic approach, we seek to empower the Sudanese people to overcome cycles of conflict and instability. By creating a more cohesive civil society, we aim to lay the groundwork for a democratic, prosperous, and peaceful future for Sudan.
